Owner understands that kitten/cat must be paid in full by 12 weeks of age if the said kitten/cat was reserved before or by 12 weeks of age. Boarding would then begin automatically from 12 weeks of age and would continue until Owner has picked up kitten/cat. Owner understands that the boarding fee is due to be paid IN FULL to Cattery before kitten/cat will leave Cattery’s possession.

If Owner has reserved kitten/cat after 12 weeks of age and cannot pick up kitten/cat within one week of reserving kitten/cat, boarding automatically begins and would continue until Owner has picked up kitten/cat. Owner understands that the full boarding fee is due to be paid to Cattery before kitten/cat can leave Cattery’s possession.

I realize that my kitten/cat may be co-mingling with other kittens/cats. I realize that occasionally kittens/cats get injured and I will be responsible for any veterinary bills incurred. I also understand that Cattery does not guarantee against non life threatening and treatable nuisances such as upper respiratory infections, fleas, fungus, mites or minor diarrhoea.

This is a Contract between Heart‘nsoul Persians and Himalayans (herein after called “Cattery”) and the cat owner whose signature appears below (herein after called “Owner”).

1.) Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding starting on the date the said kitten/cat is classified as “boarding“ at Cattery.

2.) Grooming is done weekly at Cattery and Owner agrees to pay the weekly grooming fee to Cattery starting the first week the said kitten/cat is classified as “boarding” at Cattery.

3.) Owner further agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested, and all veterinary costs for the kitten/cat while the said kitten/cat is in the care of Cattery. This includes any required vet checks, vaccines (after the kitten/cat has reached 12 weeks of age) and any other fee’s, emergency or other wise, that are required for the said kitten/cat during the time the kitten/cat is being boarded at Cattery.

4.) Owner further agrees that the kitten/cat shall not leave the cattery until all charges are paid to Cattery by Owner.

5.) By signing this Contract and leaving his/her kitten/cat with Cattery, Owner certifies to the accuracy of all information given about said kitten/cat.

6.) All charges incurred by Owner shall be payable upon pick-up of kitten/cat. Cattery shall have and is hereby granted, a lien on the kitten/cat for any and all unpaid charges resulting from boarding kitten/cat at Cattery. The Owner hereby agrees that in the event the boarding charges are not paid when due in accordance with this contract, Cattery may exercise its lien rights upon ten days written notice given by Cattery to Owner by certified mail to address shown on contract. Cattery may sell or keep kitten/cat for any and all unpaid charges and Owner specifically waives all statutory or legal right to the kitten/cat.

7.) If kitten/cat becomes ill or if the state of the kittens/cats health otherwise requires professional attention, Cattery, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the kitten/cat, and the expenses thereof shall be paid by the Owner. Communication with Owner will be attempted.

Assumption of Risks

As Owner leaving my kitten/cat at Cattery, I understand that there are certain risks of injury or illness that are out of the control of Cattery.

Kittens/cats, by their very nature, are often times nervous and don’t always use good judgment. Hence they sometimes injure themselves while playing with other kittens/cats. Some examples include, but are not limited to:

• play injuries, including broken teeth and torn nails, lacerations, damaged and/or scratched eyes, as well as countless other types of injuries.

• Many times kittens/cats can be playing peacefully and, literally, within half a second, be fighting and biting. I understand that this behaviour happens too quickly for Cattery to prevent.

I will not hold Cattery responsible for injuries attained while in the care of Cattery unless specifically caused by Cattery Owner.

Kittens/cats also, by their very nature, are not as concerned with cleanliness as humans. They lick each others mouths and anal areas and chew on toys that other kittens/cats have been chewing on.

I understand that some diseases are airborne and do not require direct contact with other kittens/cats and that infectious kittens/cats are often not obviously infectious. I understand that my kitten/cat is in a social situation much like a human day care and that infectious problems are impossible to eliminate.

I will not hold Cattery responsible for any infectious disease my pet might pick up while in the care of Cattery.

Initial:

Kittens/cats are not as concerned with what they put in their mouths as humans are and they can swallow something in less than a second. I understand that my kitten/cat might ingest something they are not supposed to while in the care of Cattery.

I will not hold Cattery responsible for any problems associated with anything ingested while in the care of Cattery.

THIS CONTRACT IS LEGALLY BINDING TO ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. ANY LEGAL FEES INCURRED IN UPHOLDING THIS CONTRACT WILL BE PAID BY THE OWNER. VENUE IS IN THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO, CANADA.
